The CRAFT School of Nursing is committed to excellence in professional nursing education. Our curriculum is designed to integrate the fundamental concepts of nursing, health, person, and environment, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the nursing profession.
Craft hospital and Research Centre initiated as a infertility treatment hospital in 2018.We started AR Super specialty hospital , offering a high quality health care with the latest diagnostic facilities under one roof. At present the hospital gives services in general Medicines ,General surgery , obstetrics ,and Gynecology , Pediatrics ,Ortho pediatrics , ENT, Psychiatry , Neurology.
CRAFT SCHOOL OF NURSING , a unit of craft hospital and Research Institute, Kodungallur came into existence in 2023.Like all other educational institutions , We have been open to all people irrespective of religion , cast or community and is recognized by Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC).
Aims
The aims of the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery programs are :
To bring out nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of health team.
To serve as a base for further professional education and Specialization in nursing
Increase Collaboration with community
Perform self directed learning and continually aspire to improve individual professional skills .
Our Craft school of Nursing has well ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements .Each classroom is equipped with White board ,LCD Projector with all AV Aids facilities.
Without hands-on training, it becomes difficult to assimilate and process knowledge gained in the classroom.The laboratories in the Craft School of Nursing is well equipped with each department having seperate laboratories
Without a solid foundation,one will have trouble creating in thier proffesional career.Foundation Lab is well equipped with mannequins,CPR mannequins,article needed for demonstartions of nursing procedure and students clinical practice.Foundation lab enables the students to gain adequate knowledge regarding the basic procedures through which the firm foundation of the fundamentals of nursing will be laid down
Our pre-clinical lab is designed with excellent infrastructure equipped with various specimens models and charts thus the student can have more understanding related to the structure and physiological process of various organs and system of human body
Community Health Nursing lab is a miniature of community setting be it be rural or urban.Our CHN lab is extension and expansion of the ideal guidelines of community health nursing.It has all the necessary measures,equipments,models,chart that will thereby help our students to face any challenges in our community.
Our nutrition lab facilitate learning by providing the faculty and student with the settings,charts,equipments and supplies necessary to develop skills regarding nutritious diet for a patients.Our students get excellent training in nutrition and dietectics during thier course of study.
Our computer lab is well suited and designed with latest computers with world class software enabling student to match the pace of the world around them.Internet wifi facilities are also available in our lab.
AV aids communicate ideas regarding learning activities to the student in an easy manner. Av aids lab is opened for the students with latest equipment of LCD projector, computer, laptop, television, charts, models, posters, notice boards which can provide advanced educational, media to support teaching learning activities of student
The school has well furnished library,established mainly for nursing students.Our library contains around 500 books,journels(Indian and Foreign journels subscription)
general and health reading magazines, and Newspaper for the use of students and staff
Students can also avail internet facilities with permission for extensive learning.Library has seating arrangement for 40 students at a time with adequate infrastructure facilities.
Library is updated periodically with latest textbook anf journels.
